School Supply List

Students entering 6th Grade – Supply List Grade6SupplyList17-18

(1) Pencil Case or Pouch with the following items inside:

  • Markers
  • Colored pencils
  • Pencils
  • Blue or black pens
  • Red pens
  • Highlighters (package of 4 or more assorted colors)
  • Post-its
  • Student scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • Clear tape
  • Small hand sharpener
  • Dry erase markers (package of 3 or more)

 

(4) 1.5-inch binders (1 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 black)

(4) 2-pocket folders (1 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 black)

(1) 3-hole punched, 2-3 subject red notebook (8.5 x 11 inches, wireless if possible)

(1) Composition notebook

(2) Sets of dividers with divider tabs

(2) Packages of reinforced lined paper

(1) Package of paper reinforcement labels

(2) Boxes of tissues

(1) Container of wipes

(1) Roll of paper towels

If you plan to do your shopping at Staples and you don’t have your own Staples Rewards account, please use ours.  We will use the rewards to purchase items the grade needs.

 

Suggested Classroom Materials for 7th Grade

To ensure you gather all of the necessary supplies, please check off each item as you acquire it.

General Supplies for All Classes:

  1. ___ One plastic pencil box that snaps or a bag that zips
  2. ___ One sturdy two-pocket folder labeled “English” with student’s name
  3. ___ Several pencils – enough to last the year (required for Math and Science) Mechanical & Extra lead or Traditional
  4. ___ Several pens (blue/black)
  5. ___ Three highlighters (of different colors)
  6. ___ One complete set of colored pencils (at least twelve different colors)
  7. ___ A permanent marker
  8. ___ Multicolored mini stick-it notes [used when annotating in a book] (required for English)___ A pair of scissors
  9. ___ Several glue sticks (you will go through these often)
  10. ___ A set of earbuds (in a plastic baggy) in your pencil box / supply kit

If you are able to donate the following items, it is greatly appreciated and can be given to each student’s homeroom teacher on the first day of school:

ORGANIZATIONAL TIP: When purchasing notebooks, binders, and folders, use the color coding suggested below.

Math (Organizational Tip: BLUE)

  1. ___ 2-3 inch, three ring binder FOR MATH ONLY
    Math text is hole punched and will be clipped into binder.

** The “Better” binders from Staples are recommended because they have “survived” better in the past. They are, however, more expensive.

2.___ Basic calculator with a square root and percent key. The following are examples of Staples’ item numbers for calculators we recommend.

** The calculator is required and brought to every math and science class.**
Label the calculator with your NAME.

  4. ___ A one subject spiral notebook (response journal)
